Foreign vehicles temporary entry form and Foreign Vehicles Temporary Entry Carnet are for personal use, registered at the place of residence of persons residing outside the Turkish Customs Territory, who come to Turkey for a certain period of time to work or study, and retired foreigners who have a temporary residence permit in Turkey. means the document that is issued against a certain guarantee for land vehicles and is valid only for Turkey.

The application to the customs office for the issuance of the temporary traffic registration certificate must be made within 30 (thirty) days from the date of the first entry of these vehicles into the Customs Territory of Turkey.

After foreign persons bring their vehicles to Turkey, vehicles imported temporarily within the scope of Entry Carnet or Entry From are given a plate bearing the letter series MA-MZ given by the Ministry of Interior General Directorate of Security.

 

TIME LIMITS

Vehicles to be brought within this scope are given a period not exceeding 2 years each time, taking into account the residence permit and work permit periods of the person, as well as the education period.

In order to extend the duration of the vehicle, it is necessary to extend the time of documents such as work permit, residence permit. To the customs administration through the guarantor institution for the vehicles brought with the foreign vehicles temporary entry carnet, together with the said documents and other necessary documents; For vehicles brought with foreign vehicles temporary entry form, an application should be made directly to the customs office.

 

WHO CAN BRING THEIR VEHICLES

  • Foreigners residing and working in Turkey
  • Foreign persons residing and studying in Turkey.
  • Foreigners retiring abroad and legally residing in Turkey
  • Foreign lecturers
  • Foreigners who are legally residing in Turkey and have a work permit at the same time,
  • Foreign personnel affiliated with NATO,

 

GUARANTEE AMOUNT

In order to issue a Foreign Vehicles Temporary Entry Form by the customs administrations, a guarantee of 20% more than the customs taxes of the vehicle must be given. The amount of guarantee required for the Foreign Vehicles Temporary Entry Carnet is determined by the authorized guarantor institution, Turkey Turing and Automobile Association-TURING, depending on the tax amounts.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

In order to obtain Foreign Vehicles Temporary Entry Card or Foreign Vehicles Temporary Entry Form, it is necessary to be a foreign national.

  • Work permit for those who are in Turkey to work,
  • Education certificate issued by the school administration for the students,
  • For retirees, a pension certificate showing that they have retired from abroad.

Documents Required During Application to Turkish Touring and Automobile Authority for Foreign Vehicles Temporary Entry Carnet

Foreign Persons Working:

 

  1. Passport and driver’s license and photocopies
  2. A copy of the Work Permit obtained from the relevant Ministry.
  3. For foreigners who are exempt from work permit, official document from SGK (Social Security Institution) that they are working in Turkey.
  4. Vehicle license showing that the vehicle belongs to itself
  5. A copy of the letter from the workplace, addressing the Turkish Touring and Automobile Association, stating the duty and duration, and the company signature circular
  6. ” Vehicle Acknowledgment Report ” obtained from the relevant Customs Directorate
  7. Application form.

Foreign Persons Studying:

  1. Residence permit (Not required from Blue Card holders.)
  2. A student certificate addressed to the Turkish Touring and Automobile Institution from the institution where the foreigner studied.
  3. Passport, driver’s license and photocopies
  4. If there is a vehicle license showing that the vehicle belongs to itself
  5. ” Vehicle Acknowledgment Report ” obtained from the relevant Customs Directorate
  6. Application form.

 

Retired Foreign Persons:

  1. Residence permit
  2. Document showing his retirement, issued by the country’s social security institutions (approved by the embassy or consulate, translated into Turkish)
  3. Passport, driver’s license (with photocopies)
  4. Vehicle license showing that the vehicle belongs to itself
  5. “Vehicle Acknowledgment Report” taken from the relevant Customs Directorate
  6. Application form.

TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF A FOREIGN PLATE VEHICLE

The transfer of the vehicles registered to the temporary entry document, foreign vehicles temporary entry card or foreign vehicles temporary entry form to another person who has the right to bring the vehicle on these documents, means that the transfer of ownership is made in the country where the person’s original residence is or in the embassies or consulates that are considered the territory of that country. documenting and taking the vehicle under customs surveillance.
