The process begins with obtaining the Digital Nomad Identification Certificate. Once this certificate has been obtained, an application for the Digital Nomad Visa is made at the relevant Turkish consulate or visa center.

Who Can Apply for the Türkiye Digital Nomad Program?
01 — Applicants Aged 21–55
An applicant for the Digital Nomad Identification Certificate must be between 21 and 55 years of age.
02 — Citizens of Countries Eligible for the Program
The program is open only to citizens of the countries specified on the official platform.
Before the application, it is checked whether the applicant's citizenship appears on the current list of eligible countries.
Education, Work and Income Requirements
Education Requirement
The applicant must submit a diploma or graduation certificate showing that they are a university graduate. Translation, apostille or other document procedures are assessed separately, taking into account the country in which the document was issued and the authority to which the application will be made.
Remote Work Requirement
One of the basic elements of the Digital Nomad program is that the person's work is connected to a company or client based outside Türkiye.
- Employees of a Company: The employment contract or employment certificate showing that the applicant works for a company located outside Türkiye is reviewed.
- Freelancers: For freelance applicants, the contracts showing their existing commercial or service relationships with a company or companies based outside Türkiye are assessed.
Working for a company based in Türkiye is not the basis of this program. A digital nomad application and the work permit process for working for an employer in Türkiye are different from each other.
Income Requirement — The applicant must document that they earn at least USD 3,000 per month or USD 36,000 per year. Rather than merely declaring the income, it is important that it be consistent with the work relationship used in the application and the financial documents submitted.
Digital Nomad Identification Certificate
The Digital Nomad Identification Certificate is the first document that must be obtained before proceeding to the Türkiye Digital Nomad Visa.

Following the assessment of the documents, if the requirements are met, the Digital Nomad Identification Certificate is obtained.
Digital Nomad Visa
After the Identification Certificate is obtained, the applicant proceeds to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa at the relevant Turkish diplomatic mission or visa center with this certificate and the other required documents.
In the visa application, the applicant's citizenship, country of residence and the current document requests of the relevant diplomatic mission are also taken into account.
Residence Permit After Entry into Türkiye
After the Digital Nomad Visa is obtained and entry into Türkiye is made, the short-term residence permit procedures are carried out.
